We had a party for our girls back in May, and I have to say I went a little overboard with the rainbow theme that I picked (thanks a lot, Pinterest!) I’m just now getting around to uploading the photos, so there they are!
This is a crepe paper rainbow table skirt that I made with heavy duty crepe paper rolls from Paper Mart. Took about 4 hours and includes a boat load of hot glue and staples!
This is a hairbow ribbon holder for each girl to collect all of the bows/clips they collected throughout the party. They got to take these home. All flowers and hairbows were from The Hairbow Company, who has excellent pricing. I bought some pre-assembed, and some I glued together myself.
It started out as just a rainbow party, but ended up being a rainbow/candy/art party sort of! The candy bar was a BIG hit. I included some candy cello bags for kids to fill up with goodies before they went home.
The adorable cupcake cups and striped paper straws are from Sofie’s Big Day on Etsy, and the rainbow birthday printables set was from Little Apples Design also on Etsy.
I made these tissue poms myself with premium tissue paper from Paper Mart. I found this tissue pom pom tutorial to be helpful.
The gumballs were purchased in a large bulk box from Sam’s Club and the rainbow dots were found at Babies R Us on sale. All of their FAO Schwarz candy was 40% off, it was a lucky find!
The yummy salt water taffy was purchased from a local restaurant, the baby tutu and fairy wands were from The Hairbow Company, and the rainbow pails were a lucky find at Target on a clearance endcap. The turquoise birdcage was something I had found at Hobby Lobby (50% off). I wasn’t sure what to do with it, but the tutu fit around it perfectly so I thought why not! The mason jars and all other clear glass and plastic containers on the table were also purchased at Hobby Lobby on sale 50% off.
I made this punch board from foamcore board, my remaining crepe and tissue paper, plus lots of hot glue. The girls loved punching through the circles to find goodies (I had candy and hair accessories in each one).
We had some really happy girls at this party… it was a success! Would I do this all again? Probably not, LOL.
