Q: Can I use your templates with my own cart/host?
We recommend our AlohaShop site builder and shopping cart because it is very easy to use and maintain your site on your own, especially for new businesses. In addition, it has many very sought after features like a built-in gift registry, wholesale system, links page manager, content management system and more.
We also offer our Boutique Cart, which has a lot more features and is great for business owners who are more experienced in running an online store and managing a website. The content management part (adding your own pages) is not quite as easy, but there are many more features especially in the admin area.

You can use our templates with any cart system, site builder or web host, however we will only offer installation services for the carts listed on our Compatible Carts/Hosts page. Our templates can be used with or without a shopping cart. If you do not use a host or cart system listed on the Compatible Carts/Hosts page, then you will have to format the template as needed for your particular system and install it yourself (or hire someone else to do it).

We do not provide installation services for the following carts (free or paid): OsCommerce, GoDaddy Site Builder, Yahoo Ecommerce, Google Cart, and Cube Cart. The templates can still be used with these, you would just have to install them yourself or arrange to have them installed by another designer.

There are other carts we can work with and other carts we don't work with. If you use a cart/host not listed above, feel free to contact us to see if we can work with it.
Q: What do I get when I order a template?
- If you order the Template Only option and you DO use one of the carts listed on the Compatible Carts page, we will send you a zip file containing an HTML file of the design, the images used in the design and the style sheet as well as install the template and graphics into your shopping cart.
- If you order the Template Only option and DO NOT use one of the carts listed on the Compatible Carts page, we will send you a zip file containing an HTML file of the design, the images used in the design and the style sheet. You can use the HTML file to create your own website pages and upload to your server, or you can install it into your own shopping cart/site builder/etc.
- If you order one of our e-store packages with AlohaShop along with the template, we set up the cart and hosting for you and install the template into the cart system so it's ready to add your categories and products.
Q: Can I use your AlohaShop or Boutique Cart with my current web host?
No, our carts are only available through our own green web hosting plans so that we may best serve you. Our servers are set up for optimal performance and compatibility with our carts and their features, including the static HTML page URLs which is important for search engine optimization (SEO).
Q. I like one of your templates, but want it in a different color scheme or font. Is that possible?
Yes, we can change the color scheme or fonts in any of our website templates. Font changes are free, and color scheme changes are $35. For font changes, you can select a new main font # from our Font Samples page and include that in the notes for your order. For color scheme changes, just add our Template Color Scheme Change item to your order. |
