A typical design project for an online store and logo takes about
2-4 weeks, depending on which package you ordered, if you are readily
available for questions and reviews, and if all the information
is in our possession. Please know before starting a project with us that our primary form of communication is e-mail. If you are unable or uncomfortable using this method as your primary means of providing information to us, please reconsider otherwise we will not be able to work with you. We are happy to provide an initial telephone consultation, however as a home business with varying hours, we are unable to take unscheduled phone calls and therefore do not provide this contact information for regular communication with clients. Thank you for your understanding!
What we need to get started:
Outline
A simple outline of what pages you would like on the site
is extremely helpful. For example, from the home page you would
like to have the links: Contact Us, About Us, Shop, and Store Policies.
Then for the Shop area, you would like to have the categories: Accessories,
Gifts, and Clothing. List this out for us in an email or document file (i.e. from Word, etc.)
or you can even draw it and fax it to us if you prefer.
Website Content
We need the content for your homepage and all of the pages we are going to
design/set up for you.
Ideas!
Especially if we are designing your logo in addition to
your website, it is extremely important to have some ideas of what
YOU want the design to look like and what feeling you want it to
express. This includes direction for color scheme, overall design style and layout. Do you
like the trendy boutique look or a more professional corporate look?
With tons of options for style, color, etc. we need to have an idea
of what direction to take.
Breakdown of design process:
1. Initial Contact
Take a look at our Website Design area and portfolio and if you would like to work with us, contact us to be placed on the waiting
list. If your project is not an online store, or you have different
needs, just contact us for a quote.
2. Agreement to Terms
Once we are ready to start your project you will need to acknowledge and agree to our terms before proceeding. Review our Terms and Policies.
3. Deposit & Payment
50% of the project cost is due prior to starting your project.
4. Design Concept Review
We will provide you with one or more design concepts which we create
based on your input - desired colors, style, sample sites and overall
vision as communicated to us. If our initial attempt is not in the
right direction, we will present another concept. We will provide
up to three different concepts.
5. Next Payment
The second payment, in the amount of 25% of the project cost, is due after we submit the design samples to you. We will notify you when this payment is due.
5. Revisions
Once the design concept is decided we will begin the round of revisions
to customize it to your needs.
6. Final Payment
The remaining 25% is due after project completion on our end but BEFORE delivery of files to you and BEFORE making the site "go live". Final payment is expected to be received within one week after notification that our work is complete, and before the site goes live.
7. Going "Live"
After receipt of the final payment, we will upload the site to your
server, email you any necessary files and provide you with admin access to your shopping cart/content management system. Yay! |
